Brolgas and Sarus Cranes

Bromfield Swamp - which was formed in an old volcano crater near Yungaburra on the Atherton Tablelands.

Today we went Brolga watching - there were many large flocks of Brolgas or Sarus Cranes (not sure which as they are very similar and didn't have binoculars with me) feeding in recently harvested fields. In the evening the birds return to the safety of the Bromfield Swamp.
